PLEASE PLEASE help with blackberry software! im going nuts! help?
i have a blackberry bold 9700 and as far as i know i need the desktop software to sync my computer and my phone.
i’ve been trying to download the software for 6 days now and every time i run the installer i get the message “the wizard was interrupted before blackberry desktop could be completely installed”
WHY is it doing that?! i REALLY want music on my phone and i want to transfer some videos from a concert i took a couple of days ago to my computer.
please, any help is GREATLY appreciated..im so frustrated it’s making me ad;lksjg;lkhf!!!
You do NOT need the Desktop Manager to transfer music and videos to your BlackBerry. Plug your BB into the PC and open it up straight from your computer (Start > My Computer or Computer > Device With Removable Storage > BlackBerry)
If your computer does not meet the specs of the Desktop Manager, that is why it will not install. I had this problem. The only thing the Desktop Manager is suppose to do is make it easier to transfer content. I NEVER use the Desktop Manager. It sits on my computer. I have used it once to download an updated firmware, but it took longer to do it through the Desktop Manager than it did doing it straight through the phone.
I have a BlackBerry Bold 9000, and even if you aren’t using a memory card in your BB Bold, you can still save the content straight to the phone. I have a memory card, so two things show up on my PC when my BB is plugged into a computer. I have the memory card labeled as BB MC so that I remember which one is the phone and which one is the memory card. The phone shows up before the memory card on my computer (I would assume the same for yours). If you have a C drive and DVD drive only on your PC, then you will see Local Disk (C:) and DVD Drive (D:), then you should see something like BB (E:) and Memory Card (F:). Whatever the last letter is on your computer when the BB is connected should be your BB memory card. I have a few things on my computer, so my phone shows up as (J:) and my Memory Card shows up as (K:).
